Nespresso Vertuo Creatista Review: An Easy Upgrade for Milk Coffee

★★★★☆ 4/5 — This is my second Nespresso coffee maker, and I bought it to elevate my coffee routine rather than replace a broken machine. My previous one still makes great coffee. The Nespresso Vertuo Creatista by Breville looks great on our coffee counter and makes brewing espresso and frothing milk easy. The higher price and less-than-friendly initial app setup keep it at four stars, but once I finished setup, the machine worked flawlessly.
Best for: Nespresso users who want a convenient upgrade for milk-based coffee drinks and are comfortable paying more for an integrated steam wand and connected features.

What I like
It feels like an upgrade, not a necessary replacement. My previous Nespresso still works great, but I wanted to take my coffee-making to a new level. Adding milk preparation to the routine gave me a reason to move beyond a machine that simply made coffee.
It looks great on our coffee counter. This is a machine I enjoy having on display. Its appearance is part of what makes the upgrade feel special in our kitchen.
The push-button approach keeps it easy. I love how straightforward it is to make espresso and froth milk. I wanted an elevated coffee routine without making every cup a complicated project.
I like preparing the milk before brewing the espresso. In my routine, I froth the milk and then brew the espresso pod. That lets me finish with a freshly made drink at the temperature I prefer, including a hot cup when that is what I want.
The connected features are useful after setup. I appreciate receiving machine status information and manufacturer updates. The initial app setup was not the friendliest part of the experience, but after I got through it, the machine worked flawlessly.
Before you buy
Price is the biggest trade-off. This machine is clearly more expensive than other options. I bought mine during a holiday sale on Amazon; that was my purchase experience, not a promise about today's price.
