★★★★☆ 4/5 — I never thought I would buy another robot vacuum after my last one failed, but the Shark AI Ultra AV2511AE changed my mind. We have a Golden Retriever, an Australian Shepherd, a cat, and wood floors, and our pets’ shedding has challenged even our regular vacuums. This one is simply great. We call it “Baby Shark,” and it cleans every other day with ease.

Best for: Pet owners who want scheduled cleaning and app control to help keep up with hair on wood floors.

What I like

It changed my mind about robot vacuums. After the failure of my previous robot vacuum, I did not expect to purchase another. Baby Shark has made me glad I gave one another chance.

It keeps up with our pets. With a Golden Retriever, an Australian Shepherd, and a cat, pet hair is a real test for a vacuum. In our home, this Shark handles the every-other-day cleanup on our wood floors with ease.

The app makes it easy to program. I can create a map of our home and block areas I want it to avoid. That is perfect for trouble spots, and the phone app gives me plenty of control over the cleaning routine.

Self-emptying makes the routine easier. In my setup, it returns to the dock about every 45 minutes to empty itself. I empty the base’s collection bin once a week.
